A Surprise Backyard Wedding in Kansas City

Katie and Dan were planning a big day a year away just like everyone else. And then one day they realized that they did not want to. They decided to scrap their original plan and do something that felt just like them.

They invited all of their family and friends to an engagement party at their home. The party would be in the backyard that they had worked together to build and that they loved being in.

The guests arrived and were greeted by their hosts. As the backyard filled, Katie and Dan took a moment to thank all their guests for coming. And then quizzed them on a few facts about them as a couple. The first questions were innocent and easily answered but when they asked what was the wedding date was the crowd shouted June. And that is when Katie flipped the welcome sign to reveal that today was actually the day they were getting married.

Guests quickly set to action to flip the backyard for the ceremony and Katie slipped away to change into her wedding dress. The excitement for this couple was palpable in the air as Katie walked out her backdoor and down the aisle to Dan where they exchanged vows and sealed the deal.
